Italy toll-free phone number — $12/month
A toll-free number is free for the person calling you and reads as a national, established business line. It is an inbound number first: support lines, sales lines, and the number you print on a website.
Available on request. The carrier holds none of these in stock: Ringee places the order for you, and the carrier confirms availability and the final price before anything is charged.
Price verified September 16, 2026 against the carrier's price list. Billed monthly, after a $12 one-time setup fee.

What this number can do
- Voice calls
Voice is what the carrier's price for this type covers. Messaging and fax depend on the range the number is sourced from, so they are confirmed on the order instead of promised here.
Best for
- Inbound support and sales lines
- A national presence instead of a single city
- Campaigns where the caller should not pay
What Italy requires
These are the regulator’s own requirements, as the carrier publishes them. Ringee collects each one in the dashboard and tracks the review.
- 1
Proof of Address (National), Recent Utility Bill or Invoice
documentA document evidencing the customer's physical address within the same country as the phone number being purchased, dated within the past 3 months. Acceptable documents include utility bills (electricity, water, gas, internet, landline telephone), bank statements, tax notices, or government-issued correspondence. The document must clearly show (1) the full name of the individual or registered business name, (2) the complete physical address (street, postal code, city, country), and (3) the document issue date. The document must be submitted as a PDF or clear color scan. Screenshots, handwritten documents, mobile phone bills (when not the proof of residence), and bills older than 3 months are not acceptable.
Example: A PDF of an Iberdrola electricity bill dated within the last 90 days, addressed to the customer at a Spanish residential address, for a Spain phone number order. The bill must show the customer's name, full service address, and the issuer's logo and billing date.
- 2
Address (National)
addressA valid, real-world physical address located in the same country as the phone number being purchased. The address must include street name and number, postal or ZIP code, city, region or province (where applicable), and country. The address does not need to match the specific city or area code of the number; any address within the national borders is acceptable. P.O. boxes, virtual office addresses, mailbox-only services, and addresses outside the country of the phone number are not acceptable. The address should match the address shown on supporting identity or business registration documents where those are also required.
Example: For a Spanish phone number: Calle de Alcalá 42, 28014 Madrid, Spain. For a German phone number: Friedrichstraße 123, 10117 Berlin, Germany. The address must be a deliverable physical location, not a P.O. box or virtual mailbox.
- 3
Local Passport or ID Copy of Authorized Representative (Front and Back)
documentA clear color copy of a valid, unexpired government-issued passport or national identity card belonging to the individual authorized to represent the entity on this order. For ID cards, both the front and back sides must be provided so all identifying information, security features, and issuing details are visible. For passports, both the biographical data page and the reverse/signature page must be provided where applicable. The document must legibly show the holder's full legal name, photograph, date of birth, document number, issuing authority, issue date, expiration date, and (for ID cards) residential address. For authorized representatives within the European Union, a passport or national identity card issued by any EU member state is accepted and treated as a local document, regardless of which EU country the order relates to. Black-and-white copies, photographs at extreme angles, expired documents, and screenshots of digital wallet IDs are not acceptable.
Example: A color scan of the front and back of the authorized representative's national ID card showing their full legal name, photograph, date of birth, ID number, issuing authority, issue and expiration dates, and residential address; or alternatively the biographical data page and reverse side of their valid passport. The name shown must match the representative named on the order. An ID or passport issued by any EU member state is acceptable for an EU-based order even when the issuing country differs from the order's country, and should be treated as local.
- 4
Italy VAT Number (Partita IVA)
textualThe Partita IVA is the value-added tax identification number issued by the Agenzia delle Entrate (Italian Revenue Agency) to businesses, self-employed professionals, and other entities subject to VAT in Italy. The domestic format is 11 numeric digits with no spaces or separators. For intra-EU transactions, the identifier is prefixed with the country code "IT" to produce a 13-character string. Structurally, the first 7 digits identify the taxpayer, the next 3 digits historically encoded the registering tax office, and the final digit is a check digit computed with a Luhn-style algorithm.
Example: IT12345678901 (domestic form: 12345678901)
- 5
Business Registration Certificate
documentAn official document issued by the relevant government authority or commercial registry confirming that a company is legally registered and authorized to conduct business within its jurisdiction. The certificate must evidence the entity's legal existence and must clearly display the registered legal company name (matching the order), the unique registration or incorporation number, the date of registration or incorporation, the registered business address, and the issuing authority. Submitted as a clear color scan or original PDF in the local language or English. Should be dated within the past 3 months for jurisdictions where currency of the document is required. Photographs, screenshots, and unsigned drafts are not acceptable.
Example: A Certificate of Incorporation issued by a U.S. Secretary of State, a Certificate of Incorporation from Companies House in the United Kingdom, a Handelsregisterauszug (commercial register extract) in Germany, an Extrait Kbis in France, or a Business Registration Certificate issued by the Inland Revenue Department in Hong Kong. The document should display the company's legal name, registration or incorporation number, date of registration, registered address, business activity, and the issuing registry's seal or letterhead.
- 6
Authorized Representative's Tax Identification Number
textualThe official tax identification number issued by the relevant national tax authority to the individual authorized to represent the company on this order. Used to verify the representative's tax registration status and to support compliance with KYC, AML, and tax reporting obligations. The submitted value (or, where a document is uploaded, the visible Tax ID) must be valid for the country of issuance and must correspond to the named representative on the order. Numbers belonging to the company itself (e.g., a corporate VAT or EIN) are not acceptable for this requirement; this field is for the individual representative's personal Tax ID.
Example: A document or official record displaying the authorized representative's full legal name alongside their government-issued personal Tax ID, such as a Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) in the United States, a National Insurance Number in the United Kingdom, a Número de Identificación Fiscal (NIF) in Spain, or a Codice Fiscale in Italy. The name on the Tax ID record must match the representative named on the order.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a toll-free number in Italy?
$12 per month, plus a $12 one-time setup fee the carrier charges to source the number. That is the carrier's published price for this type in Italy; because it is not held in inventory, the carrier confirms the number and the final price before anything is charged. There is no minimum term — the subscription is monthly and you can cancel it whenever you want.
What documents are required for a Italy toll-free number?
6 requirements: Proof of Address (National), Recent Utility Bill or Invoice; Address (National); Local Passport or ID Copy of Authorized Representative (Front and Back); Italy VAT Number (Partita IVA); Business Registration Certificate; Authorized Representative's Tax Identification Number. Ringee collects them in the dashboard, submits them to the carrier, and tracks the regulator's review until the number activates.
What can a Italy toll-free number do?
Voice calls in and out, which is what the carrier's price for this type covers. Anything beyond voice — SMS, MMS, fax — depends on the range the carrier sources the number from, so it is confirmed on the order rather than promised here.
How much does calling Italy cost with this number?
Outbound calls to Italy start at $0.0287 per minute and are charged from your workspace credit, separately from your plan. The number's monthly price covers the line itself, not the minutes.
Can an AI voice agent call from this number?
Yes. The same number can be used by people and by AI voice agents. An agent conversation costs $0.0540 per minute plus the call itself, and needs an Organization workspace at $20/month with unlimited users.
How long does activation take?
Longer than a number in stock. The carrier has to source the number for the advance order before it can be activated, and the regulator’s review of your documents runs on top of that — we tell you what the carrier commits to when the order is placed, rather than promise a date here.
